What people are saying:

Kraft Soil Solutions
I have been gardening for fifty years and am very particular about what goes on my garden and into the vegetables and flowers that I grow. I have sandy soil and need to water frequently due to the rapid drainage. After less than satisfactory performance from soil conditioners purchased from local garden centers and big box stores, I looked around for something local. I found what I was looking for at Kraft Soil Solutions, of Berthoud, Colorado.
Last fall I got a pickup truck full of their soil conditioner and spread it about one to inches deep over the garden and then tilled it under. This product looks and feels like a living thing; it smells very earthy and pleasant. This spring when I planted, I could see a difference in the way the soil worked up. It was crumbly and fine textured and the seeds sprouted readily.
My garden is my passion and this year it is even more of a source of enjoyment. Not only is it lush, green and thriving, equally important, my water use has decreased measurably. Instead of having to water every day, I am able to water every other day with no wilting plants at all.
I can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful soil conditioner.

Caribou Ranch
I have been using their material raw for the last 15 years. It has increased my hay productions 400% and went from feeding hay in August because I was out of hard grass for 30 pairs of cows to not feeding any last year with 205 head of cows, calves, yearlings and 2-year-old calves.
I started this ranch 22 years ago. Most of my hard grass country was mined and reclaimed, so there was no topsoil. A couple of years ago I did some digging in one pasture and had 6” of topsoil.
People talk down on wood filler in compost but what I have found is you can compress wood shavings. If you are having compaction problems this will fix it while adding organic material to the soil. I think it works better than the artificial stuff they sell to loosen the soil because it does break down over time and builds soil, absorbs water so it will swell when wet and shrink when dry to keep your soil loose.
Spread a thin layer on your sod and you will wear out you and your lawn mower keeping your lawn mown but you will save a lot of water and the color of your grass will be the best you have ever seen. A pro landscaper friend of mine uses it on all the lawns he cares for now.
Mike invested in equipment a couple of years ago to start making a superior compost. If you don’t believe me, trust your nose. Smell Mike’s material and smell most of the commercial products out there. He does his right. The compost is well aged and has been through the heating process.
Some frown on horse manure, too. Most of his comes from show barns where they over feed vitamins and minerals that pass through the animal and right into your compost.
I believe it’s the best soil amendment on the market for your money right now.
I would be happy to answer any questions you have if you want to email me. No B.S., if I don’t know the answer, I will tell you. Rick, lowerranch@yahoo.com

Wild Nectar Farm
This "shit" is great! Well aged, smells good, and easily integrated into the beds. We have tilled in and also topped dressed. It's not "too hot," it's ready to work with. Easy to coordinate delivery and amount. We will continue to buy from Mike seasonally.
